CHARACTERISTICS Collapsible type disposable respirator provides protection against certain non-oily particles. Its collapsible design allows for convenient storage and the individual packaging helps keep the respirator safe from contaminants before use. The respirators are composed of two non-woven panels and a filtering medium in electrostatically treated synthetic microfibers. The external part of the respirator is covered with a non-woven fabric, which protects the filter media preventing the fibers from coming loose. On the external sides of the piece, 04 (four) metal clips are fixed, two on each side, to which the ends of 02 (two) elastic straps are attached. The top of the piece has a moldable metal material nose fitting clip. The 9812+BR, 9822+BR models also have the 3M™ Cool Flow™ valve that provides less resistance to exhalation and consequently greater comfort. COMPOSITION - MATERIALS • Elastics - Polyisoprene • Clamps - Steel • Nose clip – Aluminum • Nasal pillow – Polypropylene (Only in the versions 9820+BR and 9822+BR) • Filter Media - Polypropylene • Cover - Polypropylene • Valve - Polypropylene and Polyisoprene • This respirator does not contain latex • Non-flammable material. Country of Origin: Brazil APPROVALS AND RULES Approved by the Ministry of Labor and Employment with Certificate of Approval (C.A.) according to the previous table. INMETRO certification in accordance with the standards established by Ordinance No. 230, INMETRO ORDINANCE No. 561 OF 12/23/2014. ABNT/NBR 13698 (Respiratory Protection Equipment - Particle Filtering Semifacial Piece): • PFF1 (S) – 9810+BR and 9812+BR Minimum filtration efficiency of 80% against penetration of non-oily particulate aerosols. Maximum breathing resistance(2): o Inhalation (at 95 liters/min): 210 Pa o Exhalation (at 160 liters/min): 300 Pa • PFF2 (S) – 9820+BR and 9822+BR Minimum filtration efficiency of 94% against penetration of non-oily particulate aerosols. Maximum breathing resistance(2): o Inhalation (at 95 liters/min): 240 Pa o Exhalation (at 160 liters/min): 300 Pa (1) Tests performed on equipment using sodium chloride aerosol (NaCl) and paraffin oil/DOP with a diameter between 0.3 and 0.6 micron and an air flow rate of 95 liters/min. In this test, the respirator is attached to the test equipment in such a way that it is perfectly sealed and then subjected to an aerosol under the conditions described above. These tests can be performed in a laboratory accredited to INMETRO or internally by 3M and monitored by an auditor accredited to INMETRO. (2) Test performed in equipment with continuous air flow of 30, 95 and 160 L/min or in a breathing simulator machine (artificial lung), with 25 cycles per minute and 2 liters of air per cycle. In concentrations not exceeding 10 (ten) times the occupational exposure limit (LT or TLV) of these particulates. INDICATIONS FOR USE • PFF1 (S) – 9810+BR and 9812+BR Indicated for protection of the respiratory tract against non-oily dust and mists, in concentrations not greater than 5 (five) times the tolerance limit (LT or TLV) or occupational exposure limit of these particulates. • PFF2 (S) – 9820+BR and 9822+BR Indicated for protection of the respiratory tract against dust, non-oily mists and metallic fumes, in concentrations not higher than 10 (ten) times the tolerance limit (LT or TLV) or limit of occupational exposure of these particulates. Always follow the Placement and Use Instructions as indicated on the packaging. USE LIMITATIONS AND WARNINGS 1. Respirators 9810+BR and 9812+BR must not be used for respiratory protection against metallic or plastic fumes, asbestos (asbestos), sand blasts, gases, or in atmospheres containing oily mists. Respirators 9820+BR and 9822+BR should not be used for respiratory protection against asbestos (asbestos - recommended only if concentration is below the exposure limit), sand blasts, gases, or in atmospheres containing oily mists. None of these respirators should be used against highly toxic dust, that is, with a tolerance limit of less than 0.05 mg/m3. 2. As it is made of filtering material and does not supply oxygen, it must not be used in closed environments without ventilation, such as: chambers, tanks, silos and pipes or where the oxygen concentration may be less than 19.5% by volume. It should not be used when the concentration of the contaminant exceeds the values of I.P.V.S. (Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health) or is greater than 5 times your tolerance limit value (T.L.V.) for PFF-1 (S) or is greater than 10 times your tolerance limit value (T.L.V.) for PFF -2 (S). Use whichever parameter is smaller. 3. Not to be used by people with beards or deep scars on the face to prevent an efficient seal of the respirator to the user's face. 4. Leave the area immediately if breathing becomes difficult; taste the contaminant; if the product is damaged; if any irritation occurs or you experience dizziness, nausea or headaches (this could mean that the respirator is saturated or poorly sealed to the face). 5. Not recommended for hospital use in medical or dental procedures.* 6. They are for personal use and non-transferable. They must be used with the knowledge and approval of the SESMT (Specialized Service in Safety Engineering and Occupational Medicine) and/or the institution's CIPA. 7. Before using the product, as required by NR. 6 of the C.L.T. and Normative Instruction no. 1 of the Ministry of Labor and Employment of April 11, 1994, the user must be informed by the employer about the mandatory use of the equipment, be properly trained for the correct use and be carried out the sealing test, for the correct use of the same. . *See current legislation in force for applicable exceptions. STORAGE CONDITIONS It must be kept in its original packaging, out of contact with contaminated areas, dust, sunlight, excessive humidity, at temperatures between -20°C and +30°C and U.R. up to 80%. VALIDITY, USEFUL LIFE AND DISPOSAL Shelf life under specified in-stock (non-use) conditions is 3 years from date of manufacture. The shelf life varies depending on the type of contaminant, its concentration, the respiratory rate of the user, the relative humidity of the environment and the conservation of the product by the user, and must always be evaluated by the person responsible for determining the use of PPE. It should be changed whenever it is saturated (clogged), punctured, torn or with a loose or broken elastic, or when the user perceives the smell or taste of the contaminant. For disposal of contaminated respirators, it is suggested that the criteria used be the same used for disposal of the contaminant, in accordance with the company's Waste Segregation policies. No repairs or maintenance of any kind should be carried out on the product.
